Adding a bottle

Open the Add tab, enter the brand and shade name, choose whether it belongs on your shelf or wishlist, and tap Save polish. Finish, color family, notes, and a photo are optional.

Duplicate warnings

Lacquer Ledger compares brand and shade names without treating capitalization or surrounding spaces as different. If the same pair already exists, the app warns before another record is created.

Recording a wear

On your shelf, tap Wearing today on the bottle you chose. The Wear tab shows its updated count and recent-wear position.

Exporting your collection

Tap Export above your collection. Lacquer Ledger creates a CSV file of bottle details and wear fields, then opens your device's share sheet. Photos are not included. Save the CSV to a file, send it to yourself, or open it in a spreadsheet app.

Photos and permissions

When you tap Choose photo, Lacquer Ledger opens your device's system photo picker. Selecting a photo copies only that image into Lacquer Ledger's private app storage. The app does not upload it.

Making a portable copy

CSV export provides a portable copy of your bottle details and wear fields. Version 1.0 does not import CSV files or sync between devices.

Deleting data

Tap Remove on a bottle and confirm. Deleting the entire app removes its local database and app-managed photos. The Android app disables automatic cloud backup and device-to-device transfer; on iOS, removal and restoration may be subject to standard device-backup behavior.
